The Lemosho Route is a stunning, less-traveled path to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, offering trekkers a truly immersive experience. Starting at the lush rainforest of Mti Mkubwa Camp, the journey takes you through some of the most diverse and breathtaking landscapes on the mountain. As you ascend, you’ll cross the expansive Shira Plateau, where vast open skies and panoramic views of Kilimanjaro’s summit fill your horizon. The adventure continues as you trek towards the impressive Lava Tower, a towering volcanic rock formation that serves as a key acclimatization point. The journey is filled with excitement as you scramble up the famous Barranco Wall, with the reward of sweeping glacier views in the Karanga Valley. With longer acclimatization time and fewer crowds, the Lemosho Route gives you the chance to absorb the natural beauty of Kilimanjaro at a comfortable pace. As you reach Barafu Camp, the anticipation builds for the final summit push to Uhuru Peak, where you'll witness the sunrise over Africa’s highest point—a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
