Itinerary
Day 1
In the morning, depart from Arusha and embark on a scenic drive to Lake Natron, passing through the stunning landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Lake Natron in the afternoon and check into your accommodation. Spend the evening exploring the area, visiting the nearby waterfalls, and observing the vibrant flamingos that inhabit the lake. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a campsite or lodge near Lake Natron.
Day 2
Spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude and preparing for the climb. Take a guided walk to the Ngare Sero Waterfalls, where you can cool off in the refreshing waters and enjoy the lush surroundings. In the afternoon, attend a briefing with your guide to go over the climb details and ensure all your equipment is ready. Day 3
Begin the climb in the early hours of the morning, starting around midnight to reach the summit by sunrise. The challenging ascent takes about 6-8 hours, with steep and rugged terrain.
