Tanzania raised us. Now we share it with you.
At the foot of Kilimanjaro, Dakik Expeditions was born. Founded and shaped by a team that has spent their entire lives exploring the summits of Kilimanjaro, the Serengeti, we exist to redefine how Tanzania is experienced.
We specialize in professionally led Kilimanjaro climbs, private luxury safaris, and tailor-made Zanzibar journeys. Dakik Expeditions is built entirely on local expertise. Our guides, expedition leaders, and operations team are Tanzanian professionals with deep, lived knowledge of the land, its cultures, and its seasons, knowledge that cannot be acquired from the outside. That means trust, transparency, and journeys that are rich with meaning at every stage.
We design every experience to be carefully crafted, professionally delivered, and deeply personal. Whether you are summiting Africa’s highest peak, tracking the great migration across the Serengeti, or unwinding on a Zanzibar beach holiday, Dakik Expeditions ensures every detail reflects our commitment to the highest standard. This is Tanzania shown the way it deserves to be shown.

The People behind Dakik Expeditions
Rawan Dakik
Rawan Dakik is a record-breaking mountaineer and Tanzania’s Tourism Ambassador who first climbed Kilimanjaro at age 13 and, by 21, had completed all Seven Summits becoming the first Tanzanian woman and youngest African to summit Everest, and one of the youngest people in the world to achieve the feat.
That foundation at altitude gave her a ground-level understanding of Tanzania in its most raw and demanding form, which became the foundation of Dakik Expeditions: a company built not just on technical expertise, but on a genuine understanding of what travelers need to feel safe, prepared, and truly cared for across Kilimanjaro, the Serengeti, and Zanzibar.
Zainab Dakik
Zainab grew up in Tanzania, shaped by a family built on entrepreneurship and a lifelong instinct for understanding people through the kind of quiet attentiveness that notices what others miss. She is the force behind how we operate and how guests are looked after at every stage of their journey.
Being the backbone of Dakik Expeditions, she ensures the team runs with purpose, that no detail goes unnoticed, and that every guest feels genuinely cared for.
At Dakik Expeditions, that is what looking after people actually looks like.
The Team
Rawan and Zainab built the foundation. The team built everything on top of it. From the first message a guest sends to the moment they leave Tanzania, every person at Dakik Expeditions shapes that experience. Our guides, porters, and operations staff are not the background of this company. They are the heartbeat of it.
They are the ones on the mountain at midnight when summit night gets hard. The ones in the bush who spot what others walk past. The ones who remember a guest’s name, a preference mentioned once, the small detail that turns a trip into something personal. That kind of care cannot be trained into people. It is something you build a company around, and at Dakik Expeditions, it belongs to every single person on our team.
Why Tanzanian-led matters?
There are two kinds of operators in Tanzania: those who know it from the outside, and those who carry it within them. The difference shows in ways that are hard to put into words but impossible to miss. It is the guide who knows which corner of the Serengeti to be in on a specific morning in a specific season. The porter who has completed the Kilimanjaro climb hundreds of times and can read a guest’s energy before they can name it themselves. The team that treats every journey as a reflection of the place they call home.
Local knowledge alone, though, is not enough. Tanzania deserves to be experienced at the highest standard: with the safety protocols, professional structure, and level of care that seasoned travelers rightfully expect. The combination of deep local roots and uncompromising standards is precisely what Dakik Expeditions was built to be, and what separates a truly Tanzanian-led experience from everything else.

Our Core Values
The four values that shape every journey we create. We pride ourselves by providing luxurious experiences without losing the authentic soul of Tanzania.

Our Mission
At Dakik Expeditions, we promise ourselves and our guests to show Tanzania the way it deserves to be shown. Not through the eyes of an outsider, but through the knowledge, care and pride of a team that was raised here.
We design every climb, safari, and Zanzibar escape around the belief that the people raised in a place are the best to show it to the world. We are here to make sure every one of our guests leaves knowing they saw the real land of wonders Tanzania is, and already planning to come back!

Experienced Expeditions Team.
The staff was 10/10 prepared for us. From navigating the mountain, to managing our altitude sickness to preparing us for the summit night. They were very helpful along the way. Babalu, our head guide has climbed the summit literally 500+ times ( I really believed it was close to 800) so one can expect him to be as knowledgeable about this summit as he really is.
