Activity Overview
Visit one of Zanzibar’s sea turtle sanctuaries and experience the chance to observe and swim with rescued turtles in their natural lagoon environment.
At either Baraka Natural Aquarium or Salaam Cave Aquarium, you’ll learn about sea turtle conservation and the efforts being made to protect these incredible marine animals.
You’ll have the opportunity to feed the turtles, enter the natural pool to swim alongside them, and learn how injured turtles are rehabilitated before being released back into the ocean.
A memorable and meaningful encounter with one of Zanzibar’s most beloved marine creatures.
